These terms govern the free Saftlint web validator supplied by Flakstad Software AS.

1. Supplier and users

The service is intended for businesses and professional users. By using it, you confirm that you have authority to do so and accept these terms.
2. Service
Saftlint checks Norwegian SAF-T Financial 1.40 files against the identified XSD and versioned ruleset. It is independent and is not affiliated with, approved or certified by the Norwegian Tax Administration. The manual web endpoint is capacity- and rate-limited and is not a stable public API.
3. Your responsibility
- You must be authorised and have a legal basis to submit the file.
- Keep the original and your own backup.
- Verify results before accounting, tax, product or submission decisions.
- Do not use the web validator as your only control or a critical dependency.
- Do not evade limits, disrupt the service or use it unlawfully.
4. No warranty or SLA
The service is provided as-is and may miss errors or report false positives. A valid result does not prove correct bookkeeping, tax treatment or acceptance by the Norwegian Tax Administration. No uptime, capacity, response-time or error-free-operation warranty is given.
5. Changes
The service, limits, sources and ruleset may change, be interrupted or end. Check the ruleset version in every result.
6. Intellectual property
Saftlint, its proprietary source code, design, documentation and rules are owned by Flakstad Software AS or their respective owners. Web use grants no source or distribution licence.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by Norwegian law, Flakstad Software AS is not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, lost data, incorrect reporting, rejected submissions or decisions based on a result. Total liability for the free validator is limited to NOK 1,000. This does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Data processing
The privacy notice and processor terms form part of these terms.
9. Governing law
Norwegian law applies. Disputes should first be resolved through dialogue and may otherwise be brought before Norwegian courts under ordinary venue rules. If this translation conflicts with the Norwegian terms, the Norwegian text controls.
